Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Logistics Handling Operations Administrator – Bonds to manage and oversee the company’s bond-related activities accurately and timely.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Ensure timely and accurate updates are done in the customs bonds management system.
• Prepare and give daily Customs bond status report.
• Handle daily follow up and updates from various departments and Branches for Customs bond related information/documentation.
• Confirm cancellation and reconciliation of all transit bonds, manifest accountability to customs.
• Lodge letters and follow up on responses with URA, DPC and other respective regulatory bodies.
• Ensure that the company complies with all legal and regulatory requirements related to bonds.
• Address and resolve queries with the regulatory authorities – URA regarding bonds.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

• A university degree in Transport and Logistics Management OR any other related course.
• East African Customs and Freight Forwarding certificate is desirable.
• Minimum 2 years’ working experience in a reputable organization in a similar field.
• Must be able to keep deadlines all the time with minimal supervision.
• High integrity, self-driven and able to set own work schedule with rigorous deadlines.
• Must have effective communication skills, both written and oral. Excellent English speaking and writing skills.
• Demonstrable aptitude for teamwork.
• High level of interpersonal skills.
