Job Summary
Roswell Women and Children’s Hospital, a leading center of excellence in Maternal and Child healthcare, is seeking a dynamic, compassionate and experienced Head of Nursing to provide leadership and oversight to our nursing department.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide strategic and operational leadership to the nursing team to ensure delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care.
- Supervise, mentor, and appraise nursing staff, fostering a culture of professionalism, teamwork and continuous improvement.
- Ensure adherence to hospital policies, clinical guidelines and the Uganda Nurses and Midwives Council (UNMC) standards.
- Plan and coordinate staff training, shift schedules and continuous professional development initiatives.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BScN) from a recognized institution.
- Registration and valid practicing license with the Uganda Nurses and Midwives Council (UNMC).
- Minimum of 3 years of Nursing experience, with at least experience in a supervisory or managerial role as well.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
