Job Summary
The incumbent Portfolio Executive will be in charge of acquisition, retention, growth, service and relationship management in the Corporate Lending business and ensure that the image, brand and name of Bayport Uganda continues to significantly improve within its chosen segment and customer space. The Portfolio Manager will lead all sales, relationships in the Corporate lending business and be directly in charge of a group of Portfolio officers within the managed business area.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide direct coordinated leadership to a team of Portfolio officers and the branch structure to ensure sales expectations are achieved.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate strategies to achieve daily, weekly, and monthly sales turnover targets.
- Open new vote relationships and grow the private sector business.
- Monitor compliance, policies, and internal controls in corporate lending, reporting operational risks.
- Oversee recruitment, retention, and training of portfolio officers.
- Guide Branch teams in handling sales with institutions, government corporations, and District Leadership.
- Lead marketing activities, service sales, activations, and promotional campaigns.
- Ensure a well-trained, motivated, and professional team.
- Lead service/sales dialogues, financial literacy programs, and lead-generation meetings.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly performance reports for the Head of Commercial.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in any business or professional training with 5+ years in sales-relationship management or socio-political management.
- 6+ years of field-based sales experience (diploma not mandatory).
