Job Summary
The Relationship Officer – Group Banking will be reporting to the Relationship Manager and is responsible for recruiting clients and visiting prospective clients’ homes and businesses to assess credit worthiness.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Marketing the Group lending product.
- Client sensitization and training.
- Preparation of credit applications for credit committees according to policy.
- Loan disbursement according to policy.
- Follow-up and recovery of loans according to policy.
- Ensuring proper filing of all Group Lending documentation.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in any business-related discipline including agribusiness Management.
- Credit and/or Pass in English and Mathematics at O’ level
- Must have critical thinking, analytical, attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Good verbal and written communication skills Understanding of the Banking environment
- Advanced, computer literacy, numerical skills and statistical skills.
- Team player, ability to work under pressure and in position to exercise excellent judgment.
- Should not be more than 40 years of age 2 Principal passes at A’ Level Credit and/or pass in English and Mathematics at O’ level.
Person Specifications
- Should be fluent in commonly used local languages within the area.
- Should be computer literate, highly motivated, innovative & a self starter.
- Ability to build functioning working relationships across organizational, corporate, and cultural boundaries.
- Should have excellent presentation, interpersonal & communication skills.
- Should possess leadership skills.
- Should be honest, trustworthy & have a high degree of integrity iHe/she should not be more than 40 years of age.
