About US ⇒
The National Animal Genetic Resources Centre and Data Bank NAGRC&DB was
established by the Animal Breeding Act, 2001. It is one of the statutory semi-
autonomous bodies of the Ministry of Agriculture, Animal Industry and
Fisheries MAAIF. Formation of NAGRC &DB was part of the fulfilment of the
aspirations in the National Animal Breeding Policy 1997, document and the
Action Plan for its implementation providing guidelines to all actors in the
animal breeding and production value-chain. The actors included input
suppliers, farmers, companies, researchers, extension workers and civic
leaders on suitable breeds for the various ecological and production systems.
Job Summary ⇒ The Marketing Executive/Public Relations Officer will mainly
develop and provide appropriate marketing strategies for the marketing of the
Centre's technologies and products
Key Duties and Responsibilities ⇒
⇗ Carries out market research and surveys
⇗ Explores customer opinions and gaps in the market.
⇗ Assesses competitors marketing strategies.
⇗ Organises public relations events or product exhibitions.
⇗ Ensures campaigns deadlines are met.
⇗ Arranges sponsorship.
⇗ Places adverts in in the media. Writes and distributes posters, flyers or
brochures.
⇗ Writes and distributes posters, flyers or brochures.
⇗ Manages campaigns.
⇗ Plans Marketing campaigns.
⇗ Networks with clients and the public.
⇗ Attends exhibitions in order to meet with clients, suppliers and the media.
⇗ Checks on how effective a marketing campaign is performing
⇗ Any other duties as assigned by the Executive Director
Qualifications, Skills and Experience ⇒
⇗ The applicant must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in BBA or B.COM or Community
Psychology
⇗ A Master's degree in marketing is an added advantage
⇗ Working experience of at least three 3 years in marketing gained from a
suitable institution
⇗ Should be computer literate
⇗ Should be of high personal integrity with both good oral and writing skills
⇗ Should be highly organized, mature and capable of interacting with high
profile persons
⇗ Age Limit 25-55 Years
