Job Summary

Support to operationalize the accounting function of the University.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Participate in the revenue Budget Preparation, monitoring & control;
• Maintain accounting records and reporting;
• Monitor revenue and expenditure performance against budget;
• Reconcile revenue collected to the bank account;
• Review accounting systems identify weaknesses and propose improvements;
• Contribute towards innovations, creativity and fundraising strategy;
• Process payments and perform clerical works as assigned;
• Perform any other related duties as maybe assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

• Honours B.Com/BBA (Finance and Accounting), BSc. Finance or CPA (U) or ACCA or an Honours Bachelor’s Degree with a bias in accounting option obtained from a recognised awarding institution.

Skills/Competences

• Must be industrious and self-driven;
• Integrity
• Must be computer literate;
• Excellent communication skills;
• Ability to withstand pressure;
• Able to lead and build teams;
• Financial management and budgeting skills.

Age Limit: APPLICANTS SHOULD NOT EXCEED FIFTY FIVE (55) YEARS OF AGE AT THE TIME OF APPLICATION.
