Job Summary ⇒ The Research Manager is the lead study implementer and is
responsible for coordinating all study related activities/operations in close
consultation with the investigators. He or she must have an excellent
understanding of the study protocol and strong attention to detail.

Key Duties and Responsibilities ⇒
⇗ Coordinate with all partners involved in the implementation of the study to
ensure efficient and effective study implementation.
⇗ Oversee the day-to-day operations of the study activities and provide both
administrative and technical oversight.
⇗ Provide supervisory support to the research sites across the country
⇗ Coordinate and supervise the study staff to ensure that staff are correctly
carrying out their duties
⇗ Ensure the protocol is rightly implemented in observance of the Human
subjects' research ethical standards.
⇗ Liaise with MoH and the participating health facilities/hospitals to ensure
success full implementation of the study.
⇗ Organize and facilitate facility/hospital steering committee coordination
meetings
⇗ Compile and submit progress reports to relevant persons at the required
intervals.
⇗ Facilitate preparation and submission of work plans, budgets and
accountabilities in relation to project activities.
⇗ Ensure that the project is implemented within budget and timelines.
⇗ Liaising with other teams to ensure timely availability of field logistics
⇗ Any other official duty as assigned by study Investigators


Qualifications, Skills and Experience ⇒
⇗ The applicant must hold a Master's in Public Health, epidemiology or
equivalent from a recognized institution.
⇗ At least five years of experience in study coordination work is required;
experience in epidemiology and infectious disease research is an added
advantage.
⇗ Excellent computer skills, knowledge of Microsoft Office e.g. Word,
Excel;
⇗ Organized with excellent attention to detail
⇗ Excellent management, networking, and communication skills written and
verbal
⇗ Project management skills will be an advantage
