around the impact of war on communities and the shared responsibility to act.

Job Summary The Communication Officer is an integral part of the WCC’s
country team in Uganda. The Communication Officer will be responsible to lead
and coordinate the development and implementation of WCC’s communication and
outreach strategy and plans, including regular documentation, internal and
external dissemination and promotion of WCC programs, success stories, and
events. The position holder will also support the country program team in the
designing, production of Information, Education and Communication IEC,
internal and external communication, advocacy and visibility materials, and is
the focal person for media and public relations.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience ⇒
⇗ The applicant for the War Child Canada Communication Officer job
placement must hold a University degree in Communication, Journalism, Public
Relations, Media Studies or related field.
⇗ At least four years of progressively responsible and relevant experience
working in the field of
⇗ communication or public relations.
⇗ Experience of working in various media formats, including photo, audio,
video, print and web.
⇗ Proven experience in managing digital communication and social media.
