About US
Multi Community Based Development Initiative MUCOBADI a local NGO founded in
2000 by Community Development Volunteers to bring development, but in
particular to support people living with HIV to be productive. MUCOBADI is
registered as a Non-Government Organization S.5914/7569 and is incorporated
as a company limited by Guarantee.
About Project
MUCOBADI is an Implementing Partner of the USAID/Improving Care and Resilience
for Children and Youth Activity USAID/ICARE in East Central Uganda whose
goal is to prevent new HIV infections and reduce vulnerability among OVC and
Adolescent Girls and Young Women. The expected results for the project
include; Strengthened and sustained identification, retention and viral
suppression of children and adolescents with HIV, along with caregivers,
Improved health and prospects and reduced risk of violence and HIV for highly
vulnerable adolescents and Strengthened prevention and response to violence
against children and youth.
Job Summary ⇒ Reporting directly to the Procurement and Logistics Officer,
you will perform work in the operation of MUCOBADI vehicles to assure safe
transportation of authorized personnel among whom are beneficiaries, partners
and staff to and from various destinations. You will receive direction and
route assignments from your supervisor.
Key Duties and Responsibilities ⇒
⇗ Maintenance of the vehicles as required and complete the log books with all
the required details.
⇗ Maintain all vehicles entrusted to you and keep them clean at all times, be
responsible for reporting the condition of the vehicles. Services
requirements, unusual noises, areas needing attention or other malfunctions
and ensure that the vehicles are checked without delay.
⇗ Be responsible for maintaining vehicle records, such as purpose of trip,
mileage and vehicle maintenance.
⇗ Drive as assigned route to transport organization staff/individuals to and
from various service locations, work sites, institution, facilities and other
locations.
⇗ Responsible for care and maintenance of vehicles and cleans interior; takes
vehicles to garage for maintenance and repair in co-operation with the
Accountant and other staff.
⇗ Perform any other duties assigned to you by your supervisors.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience ⇒
⇗ The applicant must hold an A’ Level certificate
⇗ Valid driving license
⇗ At least two years of work experience in an NGO environment
⇗ Basic knowledge in motor vehicle maintenance
⇗ Demonstrated ability to prepare vehicle reports
⇗ A demonstrated ability to multi-task and process information into action so
as not to delay processes
⇗ Should have excellent interpersonal skills
