Job Summary The Analyst, Information Security will be in charge of planning and Implementation of information security to provide for confidentiality, integrity and availability of information and systems in MTN Uganda. To institute Policies, procedures and standards and interface with internal and external audit.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Draft review and revise information security policies, standards and procedures.
User identity management.
Security Incident and Event Management.
User access review for selected systems’ OS, DB and APP
Third party access control and authorization.
Proactive security monitoring
Manage implementation and enforcement of MTN’s security policies, procedures and standards.
Promote and foster information security awareness companywide
Plan for the inclusion of security within all IT projects.
Endpoint and network access management.
Provide technical and project support to physical security.
Vulnerability assessments.
Penetration testing.
Change detection and control.
Liaison point with internal and external audit.
Prevention and detection of external and internal attacks.
Participate in the design, testing & maintenance of a DRP
Third-Party contract management
Follow-up third-party contract after sign-off
Key Performance Areas Core, essential responsibilities / outputs of the position KPA’s
Policy, procedure and standards formation
Enforcement of policies, procedures and standards
Risk management
Project management.
Security monitoring
Security reporting
Security Incident management
Audit issue remediations
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
The applicant for the MTN-Uganda Analyst, Information Security job placement must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Electronics or Equivalent
A minimum of three years of experience in Information Systems based Environment or telecoms environment.
Experience in information security
Strong Technical Background in Data Loss Prevention
A positive CAN-DO attitude.

Organized and self-motivated working under limited supervision
