Job Summary The Procurement & Logistics Officer is responsible for all logistic aspects of the office in Adjumani, including, but not exclusive to, management of the office together with management of support staff, procurement, storing and movement of goods and vehicle fleet.
 
Key Duties and Responsibilities 
Develop and submit accurate annual and quarterly procurement plans.
Initiate purchase requests and ensure they advance to LPO stage within stipulated time.
Send uniform and accurate RFQs to potential suppliers within stipulated time and follow up on them.
Establish and regularly update a central filing point electronic and hard copies for all project procurement documents for reference.
Support the establishment of Framework agreements for various categories of services
Ensure value-for-money procurement of goods, works and services.
Perform regular updating and filing of stock cards.
Conduct asset verification on a quarterly basis and ensure an updated and approved asset register is always on file.
Ensure safety and security of Stores and Asset inventory.
Submit accurate vehicle monthly reports and fuel analysis reports in a timely manner.
Ensure vehicle service is always done within time and accurate documentation filed.
Ensure a fully signed log book is in place and filed and vehicle check lists received every month
Proper management of office petty cash and submission of its accountability in a timely manner.
Ensure that staff leave plans are collected, aggregated and submitted for approval
Ensure key organizational policy documents are availed and filed for easy access by all staff
Provide effective supervision and capacity development for support staff.
Guarantee that the office premises are secure at all times
Support to ensure that staff welfare needs are catered for and a hygienic and conducive working environment is available.


Qualifications, Skills and Experience
The ideal applicant must hold a Bachelor’s degree in procurement and Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
CIPS or a post-graduate qualification in a related field is an added advantage.
At least three years working experience in a similar role, preferably in an International NGO.
Experience in humanitarian/refugee environment is an advantage.
Good computer skills is a necessity.
Good interpersonal skills
Analytical and problem solving skills
