Job Summary  Our team in Kampala currently has an opening for a RECEIVING CONTROLLER
 
Key Duties and Responsibilities 
To ensure accurate receiving of all inbound material.
Check and receive all incoming material against company purchase orders on receipt of delivery at the Warehouse.
Conduct the necessary quality checks as per company Standard Operating Procedure prior to offloading stock from containers or vehicles.
Manage and receive inbound shipments and documentation in accordance with Company SOPs.
Conduct regular Stock checks for materials in warehouses.
The administration and filing of all inbound related documents.
Attend Monthly/Weekly meetings and report back on operational issues in your area of responsibility.
Effective management of repacking staff and resources.
Do weekly warehouse checks and sign off register.
Ensure all repacks are completed on required time
Ensure all quality, health and safety and regulatory measures are adhered to while repacking
Supervise all repacking of all materials required as per SAP
Supervise all the re-packers and assist them to ensure repacking is done in a timeously fashion
Assist re-packers in checking all material received from the main warehouse before repacking commences.
Ensure that all scales are calibrated quarterly and as on need basis that the registers are signed off by the operator.
Process all documents from SAP on a frequent basis to ensure all picking orders are completed before it is required for repacking
Plan all repacks and delegate tasks to repacking staff
Record and present all statistics for the repack area on a monthly basis or as required by the Logistics Manager.
Responsible to identify training needs in your area of responsibility and report such needs to the Assistant Warehouse Manager to action.
Adhere to company Health and Safety procedures and report any incidents to the Health and Safety Representative in your department, or the site Safety Officer.
Carry out any reasonable and lawful instruction as may be given by Management from time-to-time.
It remains the responsibility of the Warehouse Administrator to familiarize himself with all aspects of the business environment including all policies and procedures.
Be in communication with warehouses on any issues that they may occur and discuss with Logistics Manager so that any issues can be resolved timeously.
Accurate picking and packing of stock and manage shrinkage control.
Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures for picking of stock
Maintain Good Housekeeping Practices in your area of responsibility. Clean as you go.
Report all quality related deviations or incidents to your line manager.
Adhere to Good Warehouse Practices at all times.
Conduct picking operations in line SAP system.
Ensure that all operations are captured correctly on SAP system.
Report any discrepancies to the Assistant Warehouse Manager immediately.
The administration and filing of all related documentation.
Ensure compliance with all quality related issues within your area of responsibility.
Do weekly warehouse checks and sign off register.


Qualifications, Skills and Experience
The ideal candidate must hold a Degree or Diploma in logistics related field
At least five years of experience in managing staff
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in working on all warehouse related aspects in SAP
