Job Summary ⇒ The Grants Officer will be responsible for supporting the
project design, proposal and report writing and grant management procedures of
the FCA Uganda Country Programme, jointly with the relevant country office
staff, local partners and other stakeholders to ensure a timely, compliant and
competitive proposals and compliance with donor rules and regulations.
Key Duties and Responsibilities ⇒
⇗ Support annual planning with preparation and update of annual Income Plan and other relevant grants related tasks.
⇗ Coordinate and follow up locally negotiated grants processes, manage donor relations and participate in donor negotiations, consortium meetings and other grants related coordination meetings.
⇗ Provide continuous back-up support in donor compliance, rules and regulations and grants management to programme team and field teams.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience ⇒
⇗ At least five years of experience with proposal writing and grants management in humanitarian and development operations and through direct implementation of humanitarian and/or development programming.
⇗ Experience in budget preparation, financial management, M&E, technical programming, and ideally in EIE and Livelihoods sectors.
⇗ Excellent networker and partnership broker
⇗ Knowledge and experience of cooperation with governmental and non-governmental agencies in the field of development cooperation and humanitarian assistance
⇗ Excellent writing and budgeting skills, good attention to detail and highly numerate.
⇗ Ability to identify donor intelligence for appropriate timely action
⇗ Result oriented, problem solving and team player
