Seed for Seeds S4S Uganda Ltd is a legally registered company limited by
guarantee. S4S U Ltd operates as a not-for-profit enterprise to produce and
market basic seed on a cost recovery basis since this seed class is marginally
profitable. The goal of S4S U Ltd is to increase food security of farmers
through availing sufficient quantities of quality basic seed to guarantee
availability of certified and Duality Declared Seed QDS of major food crops.
Key Duties and Responsibilities ⇒
⇗ Driving motor vehicles pick up and Tata truck} to transport staff clients
and visitors to designated locations.
⇗ Regularly cleaning and polishing the vehicle, changing tyres as well as
making minor repairs or adjustments. Undertaking routine and preventive
maintenance of motor vehicle by checking and topping up the level of fuel,
oil, water, battery electrodes and tyre pressure before operating the vehicle.
⇗ Maintaining accurate records of the motor vehicle‘s daily activity showing
journey, mileage, fuel, oil and signature of authorising officer to account
for all the journeys made.
⇗ Performing miscellaneous errands such as collecting and delivering

other items as well as buying goods, supplies, consumer items, etc.
⇗ Reporting motor vehicle accident to the traffic police and the officer in
charge, obtaining police abstract report and completing insurance accident
report form in conformance to traffic rules and regulations.
⇗ Performing other tasks such as photocopying documents and assisting in seed
production operations where applicable.
⇗ Performing any other duties assigned to you from time to time by the
designated supervisor.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience ⇒
⇗ The ideal candidate must hold an Ordinary level certificate and above with
a valid driving license class CH and above} and must have more than 5 years’
experience driving vehicles in a very busy environment preferably in big
agricultural projects}.
⇗ Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
⇗ Ability to work well in a multi-disciplinary/cultural team, good
interpersonal skills.
⇗ Demonstrated defensive driving skills.
⇗ Age 25 – 35 years
