About US
Uganda National Meteorological Authority UNMA is a statutory body established by UNMA Act, 2012. The Act empowers UNMA to provide for the control and development of technically sound and scientific meteorological services in Uganda.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
The applicant must hold an Honors Bachelor’s Degree in Natural Sciences from a recognized University;
Must have a Master’s Degree in Meteorology or Environment studies or Agriculture or Forestry or Hydrology or Atmospheric sciences from a recognized University;
A postgraduate qualification in Public Administration or Business Administration or Management Studies or ICT is an added advantage.
Seven or more years of working experience in a related field with a reputable organization;
A minimum of two years of experience at senior managerial level
Administration and organizational skills;
Computer, Financial Management and Communication skills;
Analytical, planning and Interpersonal skills;
Team leadership skills;
Demonstrated ability to make decisions on a day to day basis regarding management, allocation and control of funds and other resources; and
Ability to handle complex issues of an organization.
Financial/HR/Procurement and IT management processes and procedures;
Highly competent in accounting packages;
Public Sector financial procedures, practices and generally acceptable accounting
Age 35- 50 years
