Job Summary  Q-Sourcing Servtec Group is looking for a competent, skilled, and experienced Internal Auditor for one of our clients CNOOC Uganda.  The Internal Auditor will be responsible for Identifying risks within the processes and assist Management & process owners to develop action plans to improve the controls in the organization.
 
Key Duties and Responsibilities 
Documenting the internal controls in each of the Company’s business units.
Reviewing the internal controls and identifying weaknesses in these controls.
Recommending Internal Control Improvements for the weaknesses identified.
Performing operational, system and process audits for the company’s business units to identify any risks and develop action plans to mitigate those risks.
Planning, executing and completing audit fieldwork in line with an established schedule.
Ensure compliance to all the Company policies, PSA and the JOA as a key component of the audit process
Preparation of audit reports Quarterly/ annually.
Assist with the year-end external audit to ensure timely submission of the financial statements.
Familiarize yourself with the approved annual budget for block 1 and 2 and review the monthly finance reports from Partners to ensure the correct costs are being charged to the JV.
Liaise with the Joint Venture Partners and the authority with any finance related matters relating to the Company e.g. Back charges.
Other duties assigned by the supervisor.


Qualifications, Skills and Experience
The ideal candidate must hold a Bachelor’s degree or above in Finance, Economics, taxation, insurance, management or equivalent.
At least five years of experience working in big multi-national companies or audit firms as accountant or auditor;
Extensive knowledge of Uganda and international laws on economics, commerce, financing, accounting.
Extensive knowledge of GAAP.
Extensive knowledge of the software of SAP
Understanding of oil E&P.
Excellent flexibility, organizational, planning and communication skills.
Excellent analyzing and problem-solving ability.
Good command of both written and spoken English.
Excellent team player.
Highly motivated and achievement orientated.
