Key Duties and Responsibilities 
Farmer Profiling Support new Business Champions in farmer profiling in the MIS System, clean BC farmer profiles data received from CRAFT project implementing countries, ensure farmer profiles details received follow the CRAFT farmer Profiling/registration forms and corresponding clean details uploaded in the CRAFT MIS system.
Support BC Baseline/Annual Review data in the MIS System Ensure Baseline/Annual Review data coming in the system is of high quality, no duplicates, no mistakes in captured during data collection exercise, tracking enumerators performance during data collection exercise
MIS Support to BCs Support M&E tools and MIS system trainings and continuous follow up support to Business champions and their staff to ensure data captured in the system is verified and of good quality. Technical Backstopping of BCs on how to use the MIS system and ensure that their reports are submitted through the MIS system timely.
Troubleshoot data – related problems and advise maintenance or modifications to be made
Data Analysis Run Data Analysis for BC data in the MIS system on a weekly/monthly basis and follow up with BCs to ensure MIS system is up to date with respective data. Support BCs accordingly and in generating their own reports for use by management of BCs and their staff.
Identify areas where support to BCs is required so that countries can be advised to organise refresher trainings on data management for BCs.
Lead data quality Assessments on data collected by BCs in the MIS system
Working with the vendor to ensure regular backups and system downtime worked on in a timely manner


Qualifications, Skills and Experience
The applicant must hold a relevant academic qualification Bachelor’s degree in monitoring and evaluation, statistics, computer science.
Minimum of two years of experience of working with or in development projects in data collections, monitoring and evaluation, data analysis, preferably in the agricultural sector.
Ability and demonstrated experience of data management and analysis.
Hands on experience in facilitating and/or training field-based partners in the use of data collection tools and analysis.
Excellent communication written and oral, reporting and presentation skills.
Willingness to travel to all project locations
 
NB The internship is originally planned for a period of 6 months from August 2021 to January 31, 2022. Extension is possible for individual cases depending on performance and project need.
