Job Summary
The Engineering Storekeeper manages tools, equipment, and materials to minimize downtime and support maintenance operations.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory Management
- Receive, inspect, and record engineering item deliveries.
- Maintain stock records via ERP/manual systems.
- Monitor levels and initiate reorders to prevent shortages.
- Flag obsolete/damaged items for disposal.
Stores Organization
- Organize materials for easy retrieval and safety compliance.
- Label stock clearly with part numbers/descriptions.
- Maintain a clean, orderly store environment.
Material Issuance & Accountability
- Issue tools/materials per approved requisitions.
- Document all issues/returns accurately.
- Track tool/equipment movements to prevent losses.
- Restrict unauthorized store access.
Health, Safety & Compliance
- Follow safety protocols for material handling/storage.
- Use PPE in stores.
- Ensure storage meets safety standards.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's/Diploma in Engineering, Logistics, or related field.
- 2+ years in engineering/manufacturing inventory management.
- Familiarity with tools, parts, and inventory control.
- Strong organizational, documentation, and IT skills (Excel/Word).
