About the Role
The Cooperation and Cultural Action Service (SCAC) of the French Embassy in Uganda is recruiting a project manager in charge of promoting French higher education in Uganda and providing general support to the SCAC.
Key Responsibilities
Promotion of French Higher Education
- Manage two Campus France locations (Alliance Française de Kampala & Makerere University branch)
- Advise students on studying in France (courses, CV/cover letter guidance, visa processes)
- Organize events, workshops, and alumni network activities via "France Alumni-Uganda" platform
- Conduct outreach sessions in Ugandan schools/universities
- Maintain databases of alumni and scholarship recipients
General Support for SCAC
- Monitor Francophonie initiatives (French clubs, universities, cultural events)
- Support implementation of annual programs (scholarships, expert exchanges)
- Assist in event coordination (e.g., "Geopolitics of Kampala", school activities)
- Update documentation on Uganda’s education system
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in FLE, languages, communication, IR, or related field
- Fluency in French & English (C1 level)
- Knowledge of French & Ugandan education systems (experience studying in France preferred)
- Strong organizational, public speaking, and budget management skills
