About the Organization
Baptist Union of Uganda (BUU) a faith base organization that brings together all Baptist Churches in Uganda has a strong partnership with Compassion International-Uganda in child ministry through sponsorship and home based care.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- To demonstrate Christ love to identified beneficiaries.
- To develop interventions that will reduce morality among identified pregnant mothers, new born babies and infants.
- Home visitations and group activities reach out to vulnerable mothers and children, and primary care givers in the target community
- To ensure identified beneficiaries receive prenatal care, skilled birth attention, medical treatment, growth monitoring immunizations and early childhood development education
- To make periodic reports on the progress of intervention, success stories for unexpected interruptions to your supervisor.
- Submits Monthly reports on health screening for project children and Child Survival Program mothers.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
- Must have a professional background in any of the following: Nursing, Public health and Social Work
- Minimum qualification will be a certificate in health area or diploma in Social Work area
- Experience in HIV/AIDS intervention, community mother care will be an added advantage.
- Formal training in counselling and child development will be an added advantage
- Good written communication skills and strong verbal communication skills
- Age 22-35 years
