Company Overview

Our client is a leading telecom tower infrastructure company in Uganda, focused on providing sustainable, hybrid energy-powered tower sites to support connectivity across the country. They manage around 360 tower sites and are part of a larger pan-African group committed to bridging the digital divide, emphasizing reliable network solutions with minimal environmental impact. Our client is seeking a reliable Network Deployment Manager to lead their telecom infrastructure projects.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Head of deployment of operator projects, ensuring timely tracking and communication.
Plan, organize, monitor, and control projects within a specific region/country.
Lead all construction of large-scale infrastructure programs.
Coordinate site candidate search, TSS, permitting, and HOC.
Prepare BOQ and support SCM with cost evaluations.
Collaborate with engineers/architects on project specifications.
Negotiate contracts with vendors and obtain permits/licenses.
Manage resources (manpower, equipment, materials) within budget.
Hire contractors/staff and ensure adherence to health/safety standards.
Monitor quality control and service delivery timelines.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

BSc degree or HND in Electrical/Telecom Engineering. Project management certification is a plus.
3-5 years in telecommunications projects environment.
Knowledge of telecoms passive/active infrastructure, MS Projects, and MS Office.
Leadership, crisis management, analytical skills, and attention to detail.
Valid driver’s license and excellent English communication skills.
Understanding of Health & Safety guidelines and commercial awareness.
