Key Responsibilities
- Provision of Actuarial Services to Old Mutual Assurance Uganda by working closely with the Business Entities and other Group Functions to meet their needs.
- Conduct accuracy checks, and analyses data to draw conclusions and make recommendations.
- Generate actuarial reports on various technical issues to Group Actuary.
- Technical Actuarial Support: assist with conducting and reviewing internal actuarial liability valuations.
- Experience Investigations: assist with performing profitability analysis, experience analysis, and other relevant actuarial investigations.
- Solvency and Capital management: assist with solvency computation for the entity on a risk-based capital basis.
- Financial Modeling: assist with financial modeling of business scenarios/projects.
- Strategy and Business Planning Support: assist with business planning financial projections and solvency projections.
- Reinsurance Support: Carry out a reinsurance analysis for the East Africa subsidiaries.
- Reporting and Documentation: assist with preparation of presentation and reports to businesses and subsidiary boards committees.
- Risk Management support: assist in identifying and quantifying risks.
- Investment Strategy support: Develop/formulate appropriate investment strategies.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in Actuarial Science or Mathematics (Required).
- Skills: Actuarial Services, Business Decisions, Financial Modeling, Profitability Analysis, Reinsurance, Risk Management, Scenario Analysis, Solvency.
