Job Summary
The Senior Planner Technician is responsible for achieving the project’s goals by effectively controlling and managing its progress. This role involves monitoring work execution, planning, and ensuring adherence to economic, technical, and legal standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Project planning and scheduling; Risk assessment and management
- Budget estimate and management
- Preparing and implementing project plans
- Support develop, implement, and maintain procedures for scheduling and progress control
- Track project progress and generate Executive reports for Management
- Understanding project specifications and developing time schedules within budgets
- Negotiating with vendors and contractors
- Attending and scheduling meetings as required
- Define Work Breakdown Structure for progress/cost control
- Researching and providing estimates for projects
- Assessing sustainability and environmental impact of projects
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering/project planning and management or related field
- Postgraduate degree in Project Planning (added advantage)
- 3+ years’ experience in construction projects
- Expertise in Primavera P6, MS Project, CAD, and GIS Applications
- High computer literacy and analytical skills
- Ability to develop solutions independently and collaboratively
