with designing, developing, and delivering state of the art enterprise
solutions.
Job Purpose
We’re currently expanding our software development team and seeking
experienced and/or senior Java Developers who are the visionaries behind
information solutions. The senior Java developers will be responsible for
designing and developing applications and system solutions that affect an
entire organization and our business partners. Successful candidates will
frequently act as the support structure for business by recommending new
solutions to improve user experience and integrations with our partners and/or
client facing platforms. The role requires understanding the most appropriate
tools, methodologies, and languages to use for a particular problem or
solution as an essential aspect of a Java developer’s day-to-day
activities/role.
Key Duties and Responsibilities ⇒
⇗ Designing, implementing, and maintaining Java applications that are often
high-volume and low-latency, required for mission-critical systems
⇗ Delivering high availability and performance
⇗ Contributing in all phases of the development lifecycle
⇗ Writing well-designed, efficient, and testable code
⇗ Conducting software analysis, programming, testing, and debugging
⇗ Managing Java and Java EE application development
⇗ Ensuring designs comply with specifications
⇗ Preparing and producing releases of software components
⇗ Transforming requirements into stipulations
⇗ Support continuous improvement
⇗ Investigating alternatives and technologies
⇗ Presenting for architectural review

Qualifications, Skills and Experience ⇒
⇗ The ideal candidate for the Stanbic Bank Senior Java Developers / Solution
Engineer job placement must hold a B. S. degree in Computer Science or similar
degree is preferred
⇗ Certifications A big plus
⇗ Oracle Certified Professional, Java EE 7 Application Developer
⇗ Oracle Certified Professional Java Programmer OCPJP certification
⇗ Oracle Certified Associate Java Programmer OCAJP – Java SE 8 and Java SE

⇗ Familiarity with a variety of designs, languages, and methodologies e.g.
SQL, ORM, J2EE, RabbitMQ, Microservices, Agile and Scrum
⇗ Ability to gather accurate requirements and work closely with stakeholders
to prioritize tasks and the scope of development.
⇗ Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify errors and make
adjustments in a testing environment.
⇗ Proven experience as a Senior Java Developer or in any other relevant role.
⇗ We seek a Senior Java Developer with 8+ years of systems development
lifecycle experience including 6+ years of Java development experience.
