Senior Accountant at Avocado Oil Processing Plant

Location: Kampala, Uganda

Deadline: 14th October 2025

Key Requirement: ACCA/CPA certification & 5+ years in manufacturing finance.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Accurately maintain a general ledger ensuring compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards.
• Manage billing, allocate monthly costs to respective projects, and compile customer invoice documentation.
• Record expense entries by analyzing invoices/reports and liaise with Customs agents for timely duty payments.
• Schedule payments, respond to supplier inquiries, and prepare periodic financial reports/annual budgets.
• Support audits, ensure tax compliance, and oversee adherence to company financial policies.
• Maintain data registry, supervise inventory stock takes, and minimize operational costs.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

• B’COM, Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Management, or related field.
• Professional certification in Accounting (ACCA, CPA-U).
• Proficiency in accounting software (ERP, Tally, SAP).
• 5+ years’ experience in a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
