About the Organisation
Institute of Certified Public Accountants (ICPAU) is the national professional accountancy body in Uganda, established by The Accountants Act. It has the legal mandate to regulate and maintain the Standard of Accountancy in Uganda; to prescribe and regulate the conduct of accountants and practising accountants in Uganda; as well as conduct professional accountancy examinations in Uganda.
Job Summary
To design, implement, and oversee accountancy educational programmes. The office is tasked with developing and enforcing policies, procedures, and standards that promote high-quality curricula, examinations, and continuous professional development (CPD) programmes.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
- A minimum of eight (8) years of progressive experience in education management, curriculum development, or professional training, four (4) of which should be at a supervisory level, preferably in education, regulatory or professional environment.
- An honours Degree in Commerce, or Business Administration or Finance or Education or other relevant courses from a recognised University.
- A master’s qualification in any of the courses above.
- Possession of CPA is an added advantage.
- Membership of a professional association(s) is an added advantage.
