Job Summary

The Sales Engineer is responsible for the successful drive of Sales, Business Development, Marketing, Order Book, Customer Service etc. of SAFBUILD/Pre-Engineered Buildings (HR, Built-Up and Light Gauge) and any new construction related solutions company intends to offer by identifying and managing existing customer accounts and opening of new customers/ markets as per company requirements.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Proactively identify, engage in and drive sale/business development of SAFBUILD/PEB steel building solutions based on targeted customers.
  • Able to read & understand tender drawings; review thoroughly and transfer information to design department for estimation.
  • Negotiate technical & commercial terms with customer by safeguarding company interest.
  • Hand over awarded contracts to Project Manager for execution.
  • Achieve monthly/quarterly/yearly targets for pipeline development, order book, and billing.
  • Monitor competition, market share, and new developments.
  • Engage with Architects, Quantity Surveyors, Engineers, and key end-users.
  • Support Marketing team in trade shows and brand promotion.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering or Mechanical or Equivalent
  • Master’s Degree in Business Administration is an added advantage

Experience

  • 5-7 years as PEB-Sales Engineer/Business Development/Technical Sales
  • Core expertise in commercial knowledge of the construction industry
  • Experience working with Architects, Engineers, and government sector contractors

Skills

  • Technical competence in construction sector standards
  • Proficient in MS Office, AUTOCAD (added advantage)
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and leadership skills
  • Languages: English (required), French/Chinese (added advantage)
