Job Summary

Our client, a leader in the medical insurance industry in Africa, is seeking a highly experienced and results-driven Business Development Executive to join their team.

This is a high-profile position for an individual who thrives on building strategic relationships and driving significant growth for a major international brand. The successful candidate will be responsible for spearheading new business development and managing existing relationships with multinational corporations and leading national companies.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • New business development and managing stakeholders
  • Developing and managing the sales pipeline.
  • Identifying new sales leads and pitching products or services.
  • Following through on the entire sales process, from lead generation to securing purchase orders.
  • Achieving an effective sales conversion rate.
  • Maintaining fruitful relationships with both new and existing customers.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in product selling and business development.
  • A proven sales and new business development track record.
  • Experience in sales at a senior executive level across industries (i.e., CEO, CFO, Head of HR, etc.).
  • Proven experience in building and managing a strong and consistent sales pipeline.
  • A university degree or equivalent tertiary education.
  • Excellent problem-solving, written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Must be self-driven and self-motivated.
