Job Summary
We are looking for a dedicated Accounts Assistant for a full-time, on-site role in Kampala. This position involves managing daily cash transactions, preparing deposits, handling petty cash, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting overall finance operations. The Accounts Assistant will also oversee credit control, process transactions, reconcile accounts, prepare financial reports, and ensure seamless communication within the department.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Handle daily cash transactions, deposits, and petty cash management.
- Manage credit control and monitor accounts receivable.
- Reconcile accounts and maintain accurate, up-to-date accounting records.
- Prepare timely financial reports and support month-end closing processes.
- Ensure compliance with hotel financial procedures and systems.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in accounting or finance, with hospitality industry experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of accounting procedures and hotel operations.
- Proficient in MS Office and hospitality or accounting software.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
- High level of integrity, accuracy, and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
